As I get back into the habit of documenting our life, I find myself storing up stuff and waiting till I've got it all together before posting. So, sorry it's been a bit, but here you are. A few of the recent headliners for our family:
Josh and I booked our first vacation!
Check it out!
My in-laws own time share in southern Indiana which they were able to trade for a week in Florida. Here they are.
We're going in mid-May, and I have my fingers crossed that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be open! Our plan is to spend two days there, a day or so at the beach, and the rest of the time hanging out around the resort.
I scrubbed and reorganized our bathroom!
I used clorox wipes, spray cleaners. a rough sponge, bleach, and good old warm water. We have a tiled shower though, and we're talking .25 sq. ft. tiles (tiny things), and the groute was SO disgusting. My hands paid the price for two hours of scubbing! But boy was I proud. I also hung a new shower liner, so the whole shower feels brand, spanking new!
Unfortunately, the reality of living in an apartment is there is very little storage. Our hall closet is actually our coat closet, and with a hubby who enjoys all things hunting and fishing, it's overrun with outdoor apparel. There is no room for linens, cleaners, medicine, hair products, towels, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. We have a VERY SMALL cabinet below our bathroom countertop, and a medicine cabinet (built in mirror cupboard) that is nearly useless, and that's it for hall closet/bathroom storage. So I'm trying to be creative with storage shelves, re-purposed silverware organizers, baskets, bins...Here's what I've got right now. (For now, I'm keeping linens in our bedroom closet.) I still need to hang a clock above the hand towel bar. We just haven't gotten around to it yet.
I haven't cooked a thing all week.
Unless grilled cheese counts...
Bring on the weekend. I survived two exams, two 18x24 inch drawings, and three photo collages this week. I'm ready for a break.
